Though the new winter quarter at my community college has started, I find myself still having awful dreams of work. Of falling over with an armful of plates, for instance. Or accidentally ignoring a table and getting sacked. In truth, I'm not to worried about getting sacked. I suppose it has to do with the work I do. I'm a waitress, if you didn't figure that out from the title of my blog. I work at a local Applebee's, where I do both carside carryout and serving. I'm rather new to the whole experience. I just recently turned 19. But despite my inadequacies, and rather poor tips, I think I'm doing rather well. I know the food menu, even if I don't know what the heck a perfect martini is. And it's not so bad. Everyone has been rather helpful, actually.
One not so helpful individual is my general manager (or gm for short), Jeff George. More about him later. I believe he deserves his own post.
Well have a good day.
